When combined with Pepe the Frog (a character created by Matt Furie for his comic "Boy's Club" that became a widespread internet meme), it created the perfect expression for showing extreme excitement.

POGGERS quickly gained popularity across Twitch and other gaming communities, becoming a staple emote despite not being an official Twitch global emote. It's primarily used through third-party extensions like BTTV and FrankerFaceZ (FFZ).
