How to Turn Off “Subscriber-Only” VODs on Twitch (2025 Update)

If your Twitch broadcasts are stuck in subscriber-only mode without you realizing it, you're not alone.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to disable it, depending on whether you're a monetized creator (Affiliate/Partner) or not.

For Monetized Creators (Affiliate/Partner)

  1. Log in to your Twitch account.
  2. Open your Creator Dashboard.
  3. In the left-hand menu, click Monetization, then select Subscriptions.
  4. Find the Subscriber-Only Archives option.
  5. Turn off the setting labeled "Only allow subscribers to watch your past broadcasts."

Once you toggle it off, your changes will save automatically. Past broadcasts will now be accessible to all viewers.

For Non-Monetized Creators

  1. Log in to your Twitch account.
  2. Open your Creator Dashboard.
  3. In the left-hand menu, click Settings, then select Stream.
  4. Scroll down to the VOD Settings section.
  5. Make sure the following settings are correctly adjusted:
    • Store past broadcasts: Enabled
    • Subscriber-only archives: Disabled

If you do not immediately see these settings, you may need to click "Show all settings" to reveal additional options.

By updating these settings, your VODs (Video on Demand) will be available to a wider audience, helping you grow your community and improve viewer engagement.
