How to Fix Issues with Uploading Videos to StreamLadder

If you uploaded a video file to our platform, and see the following error message, it means that the video file you uploaded has some compatibility issues that prevent it from being processed correctly.

How to fix these Issues

You can attempt to fix the video by clicking the "Fix now" button. Our tool will automatically convert your video to the appropriate format and settings.

If the automatic fix doesn’t resolve the issue, you can manually adjust the video settings using software like OBS Studio, HandBrake, or Adobe Premiere Pro. Ensure the following settings:

1. Manually Adjust the Video Settings:

  • Video Codec: Ensure your video uses the AVC / H.264 / MPEG-4 Part 10 codec.

Settings > Output > Streaming/Recording > Encoder > Select x264 (H.264).

  • Audio Codec: The audio should be encoded in MPEG AAC (mp4a).

Settings > Output > Recording > Ensure Audio Track 1 is selected (uses AAC).

  • Frame Rate (FPS): The maximum frame rate should not exceed 60 fps.

Settings > Video > Common FPS Values > Set to 60.

  • Container Format: Use MP4 as the preferred container format. While MOV is also supported, MP4 is recommended for better compatibility.

Settings > Output > Recording Format > Select mp4.

  • Target Bitrate: Aim for a bitrate of around 2 Mbps for optimal quality and performance.

Settings > Output > Streaming/Recording > Set Bitrate to 2000 kbps (2 Mbps)

2. Check Platform-Specific Recommendations:

  • Different platforms might have varying recommendations for video settings:some text
    • YouTube recommends a video bitrate of 1-2 Mbps for MP4 and MOV files. You can find more detailed guidelines on YouTube's support page.
    • TikTok recommends a bitrate of 1-2 Mbps for MP4 and MOV files and 2-4 Mbps for HEVC files.
